Reading and Leeds thank you...
10 Sep 07Please note the Festival Volunteers (CATs & HATs) moved to the Hotbox Events website in early 2009.
A huge "THANK YOU" to all who worked at The Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festivals!
We've received fantastic feedback regarding both staff & CAT volunteers. This including numerous compliments from the organisers and other teams on-site, and as can be seen via the public forums on the event's websites the public have also thanked all stewards, fire marshals, and CATs who worked within the campsites.
Jo Shields (Leeds CAT Supervisor) would like to send out a personal thank you:
"Once again a very successful year for the CAT teams at Leeds Festival, your loyalty and dedication was second to none, It takes a special person with a big heart to volunteer at events such as this, so a huge pat on the back for yourselves.
Big thank you to all the shift supervisors that helped and offered to help out on their time off, making sure the teams were out there on time, you really pulled out all the stops this year to make it a success.
Also to my colleague Steph Hatchard It was an absolute pleasure working with her this year, and she was an asset to the team and very much hope she will be joining us again next year at Leeds.
Looking forward to seeing you all again in 2008."
As would Tavis Russell (Reading CAT Supervisor):
"A huge thank you to all of the Reading Festival CATs of 2007... I hope you had a great time being the 'eyes and ears' and hope that most of you will be able to return in 2008.
Special thanks to those of you that kept me amused during the weekend... You know who you are! And extra special thanks to those who put in extra hours to help the team run more efficiently...Sincere gratitude to the Shift Supervisors;Dom, Liane, Dave, Mike and Jeri.
I hope you all had a safe journey home and have all caught up on sleep and hope to see you all again in a festival field next year or sometime during the year reminiscing over a drink.
Once again thank you all. I hope your Reading Festival CAT experience was as great as mine.
Good times!"
We'll be adding the many photos which have been emailed through this year to the website in the coming weeks - thank you all for sending those through. If you haven't sent yours yet and would like to share them with us all please email them to either the ADMIN or CAT email address - there isn't a limit on size of attachments you can send to either of those accounts.
Again many thanks to all - your efforts helped in making The Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festivals the best of the summer for so many!
Best wishes -
Dick Collins, Janet Collins, Colin Kempton, Edd Phillips, Matt Hettle, John Monkman, Dawn Monkman, Aileen Mcleod, Eileen Hair, Jo Shields, Steph Hatchard, Tavis Russell, & Mark Hatchard.
